Mission Statement:

This corporation was formed for the purpose of promoting and preserving antique machinery and is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, literary and educational purposes.





Membership Requirements:
Anyone young, old, male or female are welcome to join the club.
Membership dues are $20 per year and meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilman Firehouse.

November Minutes:

  •  The Slow Boys Christmas Potluck opened with a prayer by Mary Ann Schuler. 
  •  95 people were present and after the delicious dinner the meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.  
  •  The secretary and treasurers reports were read and approved.
  •  Wyatt Tammen discussed the Philo Plow Day which had about 50 tractors in attendance.
  •  The Hanson Plow day had 26 tractors.
  • Jeff Lanoue reported on the Clinton Plow Day which was a donation for charity with the food furnished. All 3 were nice times for those involved.
  •  Harold Wilken is still planning a plow day sometime in the Spring.
  •  Wyatt thanked Art and Corrine Downs, Russ and Mary Ann Schuler, Steve and Rita Eilers, Charlie Weaver and Mike Buhrmester for helping with the Watseka Parade.
  •  There may be a ladies trip planned to Navy Pier sometime in March. The club would cover part of the cost.
  • There will be elections in January for Treasurer, Secretary and one board member.
  • Stacey Lanoue reported on the club cook book and the deadline for recipes will be January 31.
  • There is a Christmas Tree desplay at the Gilman Library. A motion was made to donate to the library.
  • Frank Rosenberger was our auctioneer again this year for the auction. There were lots of items donated and Frank did a fantastic job. The auction was a great success and the club raised a great amount of money to donate to Iroquois County Food Pantries. Thanks to Frank for your service.
  • There was a drawing for submitting recipes and the winners were: Carol Albrecht - 2 towels; Rita McGuffin $25 Pampered Chef gift certificate and Tammy Becker won a Longaberger John Deere basket with John Deere salt and pepper shakers. Thanks to everyone who submitted recipies.
  • Art Downs won the 50/50 and donated it back to the club to be donated to the food pantry. Thanks Art.
